I wash my hair in the sink
because I'm afraid if I take a shower
it'll wash away all the memories of you
and the water's cold.

and I stumbled on an article today
that said we see the opposite of what others see.
so I really hope that means that my low self-esteem
the one you frequently comment on
means I'm actually beautiful, at least in your eyes.

I wish I could borrow some of your ego
you've got enough to spare right?

you're on my mind, and I wish you'd get off

the nine-year-olds are coming after me
and you'd better take me first before they do

we only seem to talk at night,
but just at the right time
so that we can say
we talked for two days

time's a funny thing.
but it allows you to say good morning four minutes early

and I wish there was a way
that I could look at pink lemonade
and not think of you.

and I'll be here to talk to, even at midnight
because I'd much rather talk to you than sleep
